After School Specials Assist in fun after school programs during the month of February. Download this form for more information.

Back to School Picnic Assist with concessions and/or games on August 27th for 30 minute time slots, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Baker Provide baked goods for one or two school functions.

Beautification Committee Help once a month for an hour during warm weather months to improve the appearance of our school building. Tasks include planting, weeding, plant collection/donation in fall, picking up trash around the school, and general grounds improvement projects.  Committee chair needed.  Please email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Book Fair The Fall Book Fair is October 18 – 22. The Spring Book Fair is April 25 – 29. Help is needed during the day and evenings.

Copier Make copies for teachers (app. 1 hr. per week).

Environmental Education Help with paperback book exchanges, waste free Wednesday lunchtimes, the endangered animal adoption, and other recycling and waste reduction projects.

Everybody Counts Promote awareness and understanding of children with disabilities. Assemble materials, do classroom presentations. Training provided, no special background necessary.

Family Fun This committee consisting of dads coordinates the Back to School Picnic on August 27th and the Sock Hop on January 21st.   Committee chair needed.  Please email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Field Day Need help chairing this committee. Parent volunteers also needed to assist teachers with this event held at the end of the school year. Students in 1st – 6th participate in relays and games.

Fun Fair Help organize Fun Fair on November 5th. Volunteers needed for many jobs including obtaining donations for gift baskets, assembling gift baskets, and assisting with concessions/games at the fair.

Hospitality Various activities during the school year.

International Walk to School Day Assist with handing out stickers to WCE students walking to school on October 6th.

Make-A-Difference Service Club Help facilitate this club which teaches 3rd-6th graders about hands-on volunteering.

Market Day Help unload, set up and distribute food once a month.

Picture Day Help organize students for their school pictures October 1st.

Reflections Encourage creative expression through visual arts, music, literature and photography. Volunteers needed to: present program to K-4th grade classrooms in October; staff an information table during lunchtime for 5th-6th graders in October; help with party during lunchtime after the completion of the program; display projects

Resource Center Help in the Resource Center during school hours.

Sock Hop Assist with concessions and/or games on January 21st for 30 minute time slots.

Teacher and Staff Appreciation Help with welcome back lunch in August, teacher appreciation week in May, and year end gifts for nurses, secretaries, custodial staff, and crossing guards.

Vision and Hearing Screening Help organize students in October for their vision/hearing testing.  Date TBD.

Yearbook Picture Takers Help an hour or two a month to take digital photos at school, school events or after school events to help document the year for the yearbook. You need not be a professional photographer!
