There are still several positions open. The following committees are still in need of chairs for the upcoming 2012-2013 school year:
Family Fun Chair - Planning Back to School Picnic and Sock Hop
Rec Night Chair - Coordinating monthly Rec Nights
Book Fair Chair - Coordinating Fall and Spring book fair
Make a Difference Club - Club meets during the school day to introduce students to volunteerism
Health and Safety Chair - Coordinating coat closet and sharing health/safety information with WCE. Coordinate Walk to School Day.
Paperback Book Exchange - Running monthly book exchange for kids.
Please let us know if you are interested in running one of these programs or volunteering. The open positions are also listed on the PTA website, www.wcepta.org, check it out!
We also want to extend a big Thank You to Scott Lindstrom for successfully implementing the first annual WCE Science Fair! We had 56 kids participate and the AIME classrooms did class projects. It was a great and educational night!
Please join us for Dads & Donuts on Wednesday, May 16th. Donuts, milk and coffee will be served in the Upper Cafeteria from 7:20 to 7:50 am.
