This new committee is made up of all dads hosting 2 family friendly events-- the Back to School Picnic and the Sock Hop. 

 

1950's Theme Sock Hop

Come out Friday January 29th from
6-8 PM for:

    • Volunteers are needed!

    This committee is made up of all dads and we are looking for more dads to help us run the event. We are hoping to have half hour shifts so that everyone still has time to enjoy the night with their families.     Costume Ideas

    1950's Greaser Boy (see attached)

    • black or blue jeans

    • white t-shirt

    • loafers

    • white socks

    • sunglasses

    • plastic comb

    • leather jacket (optional)

    Slick hair back with styling gel. Adorn sunglasses, put comb in back pocket

     

    1950's Buddy Holly look (see attached)

    • black pants

    • white button dress shirt

    • black tie

    • plaid or bright colored sport jacket

    • loafers

    • white socks

    • black glasses

    Comb hair back

     

    1950's Greaser Girl (see attached)

    • black pants or capris

    • white or colored blouse

    • black or red shoes

    • pink sweater or blouse or black jacket

    • sunglasses

    • scarf
    Wear red lipstick

    • light colored short sleeve blouse

    • big skirt

    • saddle shoes

    • white socks

    • scarf

    You can use a plain skirt or make a poodle skirt. They are quite simple: literally a circle with the waist and hem finished, and an appliqué. Sewing stores have many patterns. (see attached appliqué pattern) Put child's hair in a pony tail and tie with a scarf.

    Back to School Family Picnic

    A huge thank you to all of the students, families, and staff members who came to the Back to School Picnic in August. We are glad you came! Thanks also to Mr. Van Le and his custodial staff for all of their help before, during and after the event. Thanks to all the parents who helped with this event. We couldn’t have done it without you.
